In 2010, GenerationOne, an organisation that works towards ending Indigenous disparity in Australia, approached a3 to help them spread their message and create awareness of their cause throughout Australian schools. a3 successfully developed the Hands Across Australia School Competition as a way of promoting GenerationOne to their target market – teachers and students.

Utilising our reputation and wonderful relationships with schools, we developed, implemented and managed all aspects of the project. In 2010 more than 100 schools entered which led to the competition running again in 2011. With an understanding of schools’ curriculum requirements, we took the initiative to take the competition to the next level by producing a classroom resource pack as well as interactive and educational promotional material that every school in Australia received.

We were delighted to work with GenerationOne again in 2012 to run the CREATivE CHANGE GenerationOne School Competition.

The CREATivE CHANGE Competition invited Primary Schools to perform and document their own version of the GenerationOne theme song Hands Across Australia, and Secondary Schools to use the Warumpi Band’s Blackfella/Whitefella to inspire their CREATivE CHANGE response to Indigenous disparity.
