After setting up two successful choirs at Concord School, we were delighted to be invited to choreograph their Secondary School Spectacular 'Grease' in 2012 and 2016, 'Little Shop of Horrors' in 2013, 'Mamma Mia' in 2014 and 'Hairspray' in 2015.

On each occasion we have met with the school to decide which musical the students would take on and from there selected songs for each of the seven classes to feature in along with the massed items involving all students. Additionally we have worked with the art department to liaise about props and costumes and with the performing arts teacher to prepare dialogue to go in-between each song.

We start each year with two weeks of skill acquisition to allow the students to get used to the style of dancing they will be learning as well as getting to know their choreographer. Each class then rehearse once a week with a3 and then their classroom teachers consolidated this. After nine weeks including three dress rehearsals the students present two wonderful performances.

Parents, teachers and fellow students were blown away with the standard that the students have reached each year and we are delighted to have been invited back to choreograph the Spectacular again in 2017.
